Ms Teresa Cheng, GBM, GBS, SC, JP, and Mr Nick Chan, MH, JP warmly welcomed 44 legal officers, diplomats, and lawyers from 43 jurisdictions of Asian-African Legal Consultative Organisation (AALCO) for the 2023 China-AALCO Exchange and Research Programme at the Family Dinner hosted by AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre on 2 August 2023.
Mr Amirali B. Nasir, Vice-President of the Law Society of Hong Kong, Mr Victor Dawes, SC, Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association, and Prof. Zhao Yun, Representative of Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific of the Hague Conference on Private International Law, and representatives from the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed) Preparatory Office joined us and shared a joyful evening with tasteful food and cultural music.
On 3 August 2023, Mr Nick Chan, MH, JP, delivered a training session to the delegates, introducing the services of AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre and the development of online dispute resolution in the region.
