Deputy Consul-General Lai Kee Hee attended the opening at the Shanghai Commercial Bank Tower in Central.
AALCO currently comprises 47 countries, in which Malaysia is an active member. The Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) (https://www.aiac.world/) in Kuala Lumpur (formerly known as The Regional Centre for Arbitration, Kuala Lumpur) was established in 1978. The other four centres are in Cairo, Lagos, Tehran and Nairobi. The AALCO Hong Kong centre adds to the five existing regional arbitration centres.
