As part of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce’s Business School Partnership Programme, Director Nick Chan, MH, JP, welcomed secondary school students from Queen Elizabeth School at AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre (AALCO-HKRAC).

During the 2 hours session, Mr. Chan introduced AALCO-HKRAC and insights into matters such as the key differences between solicitors and barristers, the skills required to mediate and arbitrate disputes, and what international organisations, including AALCO-HKRAC aim to achieve. He also shared the reasons for AALCO choosing Hong Kong to establish its newest Regional Arbitration Centre, which included Hong Kong’s strong Rule of Law and prominent status as an international financial centre.  Besides that, Mr. Chan also shared with the students of his personal experience and his career path of being a lawyer and gave some encouragement to the students.
