On 20 March 2026, a delegation led by Mr. Huang Zhihong, Director of the Nanhai District Cross-Border Dispute Mediation Center of Foshan visited AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre (AALCO-HKRAC). The delegation was received by Mr. Dennis Cai, Deputy Director of AALCO-HKRAC. Both sides held in-depth discussions on key challenges and practical difficulties encountered in foreign-related mediation cases, as well as potential directions for future cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties focused on practical aspects of foreign-related mediation, analyzing common case complexities, institutional bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Mr. Cai mentioned that AALCO-HKRAC places great importance on collaborative engagement with mediation institutions in Mainland China and is willing to explore pragmatic cooperation with the Nanhai Mediation Center in areas such as case referrals, sharing expert resources, and training and exchange programs to facilitate resource sharing, complementary strengths, and mutual benefit.

The exchange laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in cross-border mediation going forward. Both sides agreed that strengthened coordination will better support enterprises in “going global” and “bringing in,” enhance the quality of foreign-related rule of law services, and contribute to the development of diversified dispute resolution mechanisms in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
