Hosted with support from AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre (AALCO-HKRAC), the Belt and Road Cross-Professional Forum on 14 February 2025 convened industry leaders to address the challenges and collaboration opportunities under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). 

Moderated by Mr. Nick Chan, BBS, MH, JP, Director of the AALCO-HKRAC, the technology panel featured Mr Jingjing Jiang, Partner and Head of Hong Kong Funds Practice, King & Wood Mallesons, Mr Steven Xiao, Deputy Head, Enterprise Business, China Mobile International Limited and Mr Chen Jing, General Manager, WeTechnology Limited. The speakers explored the key financial and legal challenges under the BRI and the capabilities that Hong Kong offers in legal, financial and fintech services. Representatives of companies from Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks and Cyberport engaged in discussion on the innovation solutions that they would need to enhance efficiency in financing, compliance and risk management.

The forum promotes multilateral cooperation and highlights Hong Kong’s unique role as a strategic connection for the Belt and Road Initiative.
