About ODR
Established by international law with privileges and immunities, the AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre was established with a number of objectives, including to: act as a coordinating agency in the AALCO dispute settlement system; to provide institutional and support ad hoc arbitration and other forms of disputes resolution; to provide assistance in enforcement of arbitral awards; and to promote Online Dispute Resolution services and the growth and effective functions of arbitration institutions and other alternative dispute resolution services.
AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre’s Online Arbitration Platform, powered by eBRAM, is secure, state-of-the-art and easy to use with add-on functionalities like AI powered translation, real-time transcription, eKYC and other functionalities to be added from time to time.
The Centre is established by international law and hence truly ‘country-neutral’. Being physically situated in Hong Kong, China, and as the only AALCO Regional Arbitration Centre in this part of the world, the centre is able to support economic growth and disputes resolution in and beyond this region, leveraging upon its ODR Platform and the many unique advantageous of Hong Kong as an international trade and financial centre and legal services and disputes resolution hub under the “One Country, Two Systems” principle.
