AALCO Hong Kong Regional Arbitration Centre (AALCO-HKRAC) was honoured to welcome a delegation from the Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Academy to our Centre for an exchange session with participants of the second edition of the National Training Course for Talents Handling Foreign-related Arbitration (Hong Kong). This engagement aligns with the national “15th Five-Year Plan” direction for advancing foreign-related rule of law and supports the Department of Justice’s “Going Global” initiative. By connecting talent development with hands-on platforms, we aim to continuously enhance professional standards in foreign-related arbitration, deepen exchange and collaboration, and better serve the country’s broader development goals.
During the visit, our Deputy Director, Mr. Dennis Cai introduced AALCO and the AALCO Dispute Settlement System, and shared how AALCO-HKRAC—an institution with international organisation status—provides a diverse suite of services in Hong Kong, including mediation, arbitration and online dispute resolution. These services offer cross-border parties neutral, professional, confidential and efficient pathways to resolve disputes. He also provided an update on the Pilot Scheme on Sports Dispute Resolution and elaborated on the use cases of adjudication and related mechanisms, helping participants build a more complete dispute-resolution toolkit through a combined “institutional + practical” perspective.
AALCO-HKRAC remains committed to neutrality and openness, serving parties from different jurisdictions and backgrounds. We support enterprises and organisations from all regions in navigating global markets, and, where needed, provide internationally recognised, predictable and enforceable dispute resolution pathways. We believe this exchange not only strengthens participants’ understanding of international arbitration practice and institutional operations, but also contributes to reinforcing Hong Kong’s competitiveness as a leading hub for international legal and dispute resolution services in the Asia-Pacific region.
We sincerely thank the Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Office (HKILTTO) for arranging this visit and exchange, and we look forward to continued collaboration with stakeholders to advance capacity building and professional development in foreign-related mediation and arbitration.
